An Unforgettable Trip to Shakespeare’s Globe: Year 6’s Day of Drama

At M7 Education we’re all about making learning fun and memorable. Recently, we had the fantastic opportunity to take a class of Year 6 students to Shakespeare’s Globe in London for a live-action drama workshop. This trip combined history, literature, and performance, giving our pupils an amazing hands-on learning experience they won’t forget.

The workshop was designed to be practical and interactive, fitting perfectly with our learning goals. Our students took part in a range of activities and games, exploring the characters and themes of Shakespeare's plays. These fun exercises helped them learn about teamwork, communication, and creativity.

A real highlight of the day was the tour of the Globe Theatre. Walking through this historic venue, the students got a feel for what it was like in Shakespeare’s time. They were fascinated by the architecture and imagined being actors or audience members back in the Elizabethan era.

What the Pupils Had to Say

The excitement of our students was clear to see. Here’s what some of them had to say about the trip:
"The whole trip was really fun for me because it combined two of my favourite things – drama and history. I loved the role-playing task." - Year 6 Pupil
"I really enjoyed the role-playing task and having a chance to do some acting." - Year 6 Pupil
These quotes show just how much the students enjoyed the workshop, making learning both enjoyable and meaningful.
